Manuel Pellegrini challenges Man City to catch Arsenal by 2014
Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini challenges the Citizens to catch Arsenal and secure top spot by the New Year

Manuel Pellegrini has challenged Manchester City to hoist themselves above Arsenal and into top spot by 2014.
The Citizens closed the gap on the Premier League pace-setters to six points after a 3-0 victory over Swansea City on Sunday.
And the Chilean is confident that his Citizens can put a run of wins together during the festive period.
“At the moment, the race for the title is very open, but there could be many changes in the coming weeks,” said Pellegrini.
“I would like to arrive at New Year in first place, but if that is not possible then no more than three points from the No.1 position.
“I can answer that question better after we finish the two games we are going to play away.
“I have a lot of trust in this team. We have to play six more Premier League games during December. We hope we can do it. It will be very important for us.
“It is a big challenge now because West Brom are a strong team playing at home.
“We finished this week playing three games at home and we hope now we can start winning away.
“This week we have six points. And I repeat, we deserved to win some of the games we lost. We must try to win all of them to continue fighting for the Premier League.”
