Manuel Pellegrini admits Saturday’s clash with Arsenal could make or break Manchester City’s Premier League title challenge.
City host the league leaders at Etihad Stadium looking for a win which would close the gap to the high-flying Gunners down to three points.
And Pellegrini is confident that his side have what it takes to beat Arsene Wenger’s men, who travel to Eastlands having lost just once on the road this season.
There are six or seven teams fighting for the title

“This is our opportunity to take three important points against the best team in the Premier League at the moment,” Pellegrini said.
“For Arsenal and for our team, this is a very important game. They play one day after we did in the Champions League.
“Maybe our match was not exactly the same but I don’t think that will be an advantage or those things will decide the game. I think the way both teams will play will be more important.
“We need to be at least three points near the top. All the teams, especially if we win, will be near us. There are six or seven teams fighting for the title.”
Pellegrini also insisted that Manchester United are not out of the title race, despite David Moyes’ men trailing the leaders by 13 points.
“They have good players and manager,” he added. “They have the second half of the Premier League to play and a strong team like them will always have chances.”
