Martin Keown sends message to Chelsea, Man United fans about Neymar
The Arsenal legend believes Neymar would consider a move to the Premier League amid links from Manchester United
Martin Keown believes Barcelona superstar Neymar would be open to a move to the Premier League this summer.
The Brazil international’s future has been the source of speculation in recent weeks amid uncertainty about the forward’s long-term future at Camp Nou.
Neymar has been linked with a potential move to Manchester United over the past 12 months, although a deal has failed to materialise so far.
Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich was reported to have offered manager Antonio Conte the chance to sign the South American earlier this season too.
Writing in his Daily Mail column about the possibility of Neymar completing a move to the Premier League in the near future, former Arsenal defender Keown said:
“It would really excite the Premier League if Messi or Neymar came to our shores. To think you could see some of those players up close.
“Messi is an institution at Barcelona but I wonder if Neymar might be willing to have a new experience in the Premier League.”
Manchester United won the Europa League final in May thanks to a 2-0 win against Eredivisie giants Ajax.
The Red Devils broke the world transfer record last summer when Paul Pogba completed an £89m switch from Serie A giants Juventus.
Manchester United will return to the Champions League next term.
