Mathieu Flamini: Arsenal not feeling any pressure in title race

Mathieu Flamini insists Arsenal are not concerned about the question marks over their Premier League title credentials.
The Gunners stayed one point clear at the top of the table thanks to Wednesday’s 2-0 win over Cardiff City at Emirates Stadium.

Despite their impressive form this season, Arsenal’s failure to win a major trophy since 2005 has led many to question their status as genuine contenders.
However, midfielder Flamini says that Arsene Wenger’s men are not paying attention to any of their critics as they look to end their silverware drought.
“It [a strong festive period] was very important for us and also for the fans and for the club,” Flamini told Arsenal Player.
“Everyone is talking about other clubs but for us it’s not a problem, we play game after game and focus on ourselves, we’ll see at the end what happens.”
Flamini also praised the Gunners’ spirit and battling qualities as they beat Cardiff thanks to late goals from Nicklas Bendtner and Theo Walcott.
“When you have opportunity after opportunity and you can’t find a goal it’s very frustrating,” Flamini said. “These kind of games are not easy, but we played our football and found the goal so it’s positive.
“We have to fight for every point, we have to fight for every goal so it’s not easy but once again the team demonstrated great character, fighting spirit and a tough togetherness that is very important.
“The players gave a lot and we knew it was not going to be easy. Cardiff played well, they defended well so it’s not easy to find space in defence. We played our football and we tried to find this goal.”
