Mauricio Pochettino sends message to Tottenham fans about Harry Kane
The Spurs boss refuses to use Harry Kane's absence as an excuse for Tottenham's 1-0 loss at Man United

Mauricio Pochettino has refused to use Harry Kane’s absence as an excuse for Tottenham Hotspur’s 1-0 loss to Manchester United on Saturday afternoon.
The Lilywhites made the long trip to Old Trafford in search of three points as Tottenham looked to extend their unbeaten run to eight games.
Spurs were 4-1 winners against top-four rivals Liverpool last weekend following goals from Kane, Son Heung-min and Dele Alli.
However, the England international, who has scored eight goals in nine games in the Premier League this season, missed their trip to Manchester United with an injury problem.
The Red Devils secured three points thanks to Anthony Martial’s late winner after the France international managed to squeeze between Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen before he finished past compatriot Hugo Lloris.
However, Spurs boss Pochettino refused to blame use Kane’s absence as an excuse for Tottenham’s disappointing result at Old Trafford.
Pochettino said: “If Dele Alli had scored now the question would be different.
“It is always about the result. You are always going to miss your main striker but it is not fair to talk about Harry Kane.”
Manchester United hoisted themselves three points clear of title rivals Tottenham Hotspur thanks to Martial’s winner nine minutes from time in Saturday’s top of the table clash.
The north London side finished in second place in the Premier League table last term after finishing seven points behind eventual champions Chelsea.
