Memphis Depay reflects on the 'crazy' feeling he had making his Manchester United debut

Memphis Depay admitted that he had a “crazy but special” feeling after making his Manchester United debut last week.
The Netherlands international enjoyed his first run-out for the Red Devils as Louis van Gaal’s side ran out 1-0 winners over Club America on Friday night.
And Depay was thrilled to get his first taste of first-team action in a United shirt.
Depay told reporters in Seattle after the victory: “It was a crazy feeling to make my debut and a very special one. To think where I came from to where I am now, making my debut for Manchester United.
“I’m very happy. It was 45 minutes and only pre-season but the focus is on keeping my body in shape. It was important to win the game and we did that.”
The 21-year-old, who is thought to have cost United around £25m, played a pivotal role in PSV’s title-winning season after he scored 22 times in 28 games.

Depay has previously played under Van Gaal in the Netherlands set-up and he helped the Dutch finish third at last summer’s World Cup.
Manchester United, who finished fourth last season, kick off their Premier League campaign with a home clash against Tottenham Hotspur on the opening weekend of the season.
