Michael Owen states his prediction for West Brom v Arsenal
The Liverpool legend is tipping West Brom to secure a positive result against Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon

Michael Owen believes West Brom will get a positive result against Arsenal at the Hawthorns Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Arsenal secured a 3-2 win against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Thursday night thanks to goals from Shkodran Mustafi and Alexis Sanchez to secure just their third win on the road in the Premier League this season.
The Gunners were 5-2 winners against Everton at Goodison Park back in September before Sanchez scored a last-gasp injury-time goal in a 1-0 win at Burnley back in November.
The Gunners have lost four times and drawn three games in seven of their 10 away games in the Premier League this season to undermine their top-four challenge after finishing in fifth spot last term.
West Brom made the decision to sack Tony Pulis and appoint Alan Pardew as their new manager earlier this term but the Baggies are winless in their last six games in the Premier League.
The former Liverpool striker is tipping Arsenal to drop points against West Brom to continue their inconsistent performances on the road in the Premier League this season.
“West Brom are without a win in their last 18 league games but they have won their last two home games against Arsenal and I think they will get something from the game,” Owen told BetVictor.
“This game will be Arsene Wenger’s 811th PL game in charge of the Gunners and a new record for the competition. Interestingly Wenger will beat Sir Alex Ferguson’s record of 810 – the last of which was also at the Hawthorns when his United side were held to a 5-5 draw.
I’ don’t expect to see another ten-goal thriller on New Year’s Eve but I do think the Baggies will get at least a point.”
The Gunners signed Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette and Schalke 04 defender Sead Kolasinac in the summer to improve their squad.
The north London side finished in fifth place in the Premier League table last term.
