Journalist tips Chelsea to make move to sign Real Madrid star
Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri feels Chelsea are likely to join the race to sign Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid

Chelsea are likely to end up making a bid to sign Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid this summer if they miss out on Romelu Lukaku, according to Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri.
Morata has been a name making the headlines throughout the summer transfer window but it was Manchester United who were thought to be leading the race for the 24-year-old forward.
However, widespread reports in the British media on Thursday claimed that Manchester United were closing in on a deal to sign Romelu Lukaku from Everton, making a move for both players unlikely.
Morata has been linked with Chelsea in the past, with Antonio Conte said to be a keen admirer of the Spain international.
And Italian journalist Palmeri feels that Chelsea could well switch their attentions towards trying to sign Morata this summer ahead of Lukaku.
Palmeri wrote on Twitter on Thursday night: “If Chelsea end up losing on Lukaku, I feel they go back on Morata (for whom had bid 75m€ last year).”
Chelsea are preparing for a return to the Champions League next season after Conte led them to the Premier League title in his first campaign in charge at Stamford Bridge last term.
