Man United ‘very close’ to signing top 24-year-old striker – report
Manchester United are closing in on the signing of Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid, say reports in Spain

Manchester United are close to completing a deal to sign Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain.
Spanish newspaper AS is reporting that talks between Manchester United and Real Madrid have now resumed after they were initially put on hold for the striker’s wedding.
The same report claims that there is a €70m offer on the table for Morata from the Red Devils, but that Real Madrid are hoping for a fee of between €80m-90m.
The article claims that Real Madrid feel that a higher fee for Morata is justified for a number of reasons, including the fact that the forward has most of his career ahead of him at the age of 24.
The story also says that Morata has made up his mind to leave Real Madrid this summer following his lack of playing time last season.
The striker netted 13 La Liga goals for the Spanish side last season but only started 15 games in the top flight.
Manchester United are thought to be keen to bolster their attacking options, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic having not had his contract renewed, and Wayne Rooney’s future remaining unclear.
