Jose Mourinho told to sign top 24-year-old striker for Man United right now
Steve Nicol says Manchester United's proposed deal to sign Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid is a "no brainer"

Steve Nicol has described Manchester United’s proposed signing of Alvaro Morata from Real Madrid as a “no brainer”.
The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a bid to bring the 24-year-old Real Madrid striker to Old Trafford in recent days as Mourinho looks to bolster his attacking options ahead of next season.
The latest reports in Spain have suggested that Morata has informed Real Madrid of his desire to quit Real Madrid this summer and that Manchester United is one of his preferred destinations.
It remains to be seen whether Morata will end up at Manchester United next season but the move would certainly make sense, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic having left the club at the end of last season and Wayne Rooney’s future remaining unclear.
And former Liverpool star Nicol has given his stamp of approval to the proposed transfer.
Speaking on ESPN FC, Nicol said: “Absolutely it [United signing Morata] is a no-brainer.
“It’s a position they need and they’re going to get somebody who in my opinion could become world class, he’s not too far off it.
“He’s young, so he’s going to be there for a long time. If you’re a United fan, you’re hoping this happens and I think eventually it will.”
Manchester United have been linked with a host of players this summer but the Red Devils have so far only confirmed the signing of defender Victor Lindelof from Benfica.
