Nemanja Matic insists that Chelsea are not getting carried away by the possibility of winning the Premier League title this season.

The Blues extended their lead at the top of the Premier League table to four points thanks to their 3-1 win at Fulham and Arsenal’s defeat at Stoke on Saturday.

The win left Chelsea in pole position to win their first title since 2008 with 10 games left to play this season.

But midfielder Matic says that Jose Mourinho’s men are taking each game as it comes, with the Blues hosting Tottenham at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

“Like we said before, we will play game by game, to win every game if it is possible and we don’t look too much at other clubs,” Matic told Chelsea’s website.

“But for us it is good if our rivals lose some points and on Saturday Arsenal lost so that is good for us.”

Matic also praised the Blues for their second half showing at Craven Cottage.

“Fulham gave us some more space and we used that and Andre Schurrle in the second half was amazing and took his chances, and we have to continue to play like this,” he added.
