Cesar Azpilicueta: What Chelsea fans don’t know about N’Golo Kante

Cesar Azpilicueta has described N’Golo Kante as “fundamental” to Chelsea’s Premier League title bid this season.

The French midfielder has been earning plenty of praise for his performances for the Blues since his arrival at Stamford Bridge from Leicester City last summer.

Kante earned plenty of praise for Leicester as he helped them win the Premier League title last season under Claudio Ranieri.

And the midfielder has continued his form for the Blues this season since his switch to help them establish themselves as the firm favourites to win the title this term.

Azpilicueta has clearly been enjoying playing alongside Kante for the Blues this season and is says that the France international does not get the credit he deserves.

Speaking to The Guardian, Azpilicueta said: “He’s a great player who has adapted very quickly to playing here – people forget it’s only his second season in England.

“You can only admire what he did last season and what he’s doing this season.

“He covers so much ground and he’s fundamental. His work-rate is incredible, not just in games but in every single training session.”
