Michael Owen is backing Manchester United to claim a comfortable victory when they head to Carrow Road to take on Norwich City on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils head into the game looking to return to winning ways in the Premier League after what has been a stuttering start to the new campaign under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Manchester United are currently down in 14th place in the Premier League table and just two points above the relegation zone after a poor run of form.

Solskjaer’s men did end their 11-game winless run on Thursday night when they claimed a 1-0 win at Partizan Belgrade in the Europa League.

They will now be fully focused on returning to winning ways in the Premier League when they take on Norwich City away from home on Sunday afternoon.

And former Manchester United striker Owen is tipping them to claim all three points when they travel to Norwich this weekend.

Writing in his column for BetVictor, Owen said: “The Canaries kept a rare clean sheet at Bournemouth on Saturday, and they are bidding for a famous home double against the Manchester giants having won 3-2 against City at Carrow Road earlier in the season.

“United showed their spirit in picking up a hard-earned point against Liverpool on Sunday and I expect them to build on that despite having a near 3000-mile round trip to Belgrade in the Europa League on Thursday.”

Manchester United have only won two of their opening nine Premier League games and they currently find themselves a staggering 15 points behind leaders Liverpool FC.

The Red Devils are aiming to try and break back into the top four this season after having finished sixth last term.
