Parlour and more: Twitter reacts as Arsenal close in on Welbeck
Ray Parlour and Michael Owen both tweet their thoughts as Arsenal close in on the signing of Danny Welbeck

Arsenal are thought to be close to securing the signing of Danny Welbeck from Manchester United for a fee believed to worth around £16m.
The 23-year-old appears to be edging ever closer to a move to Emirates Stadium on transfer deadline day as Arsene Wenger looks to bolster his attacking options at Emirates Stadium.
England international Welbeck has scored 29 goals in 139 games for United in the last three seasons.
Wenger has been on the lookout for a new striker since Olivier Giroud was ruled out until the new year with a broken tibia bone.
And now it seems that he could be set to switch Premier League clubs before Monday’s 2300 deadline.
Welbeck’s potential arrival in north London has created a stir on the social networks – here are some of our favourite updates.
Great bit of business by Arsenal if they manage to get Welbeck. Good player and another English talent to add to there squad

Welbeck looks like signing! Happy Arsenal fans? I am good young English player. Opportunity to play striker #Gooners

Welbeck and Cleverley divide opinion but I'm pretty sure they would improve most Premier League teams.

If #Welbeck signing goes through, Arsenal may come 3rd rather than 4th. Good player, but no Falcao/Costa. Not even a Balotelli. #afc

Lots of conflicting views voiced about Welbeck..reminds me of a certain Sturridge! 23 yo..20lge goals in 53 starts..out of position..Hmmm
