Paul Merson states his prediction for West Ham v Arsenal
Paul Merson is tipping Arsenal to beat West Ham in the Premier League on Wednesday night

Paul Merson is backing Arsenal to bounce back to winning ways in the Premier League by beating West Ham United 3-1 at the London Stadium on Wednesday night.
The Gunners head into the game looking to return to winning ways after the disappointment of their 1-1 draw at Southampton on Sunday.
It’s fair to say that Arsenal have been in stuttering form in the Premier League this season, with Arsene Wenger’s men having only won nine of their opening 16 games and losing five.
The north London side currently find themselves in fifth place in the Premier League table and a staggering 17 points behind leaders Manchester City after 16 games of the new campaign.
However, former Gunners star Merson is expecting to see Wenger’s men notch up the three points when they take on David Moyes’ Hammers side in east London on Wednesday night.
Writing in his column for Sky Sports, Merson said: “West Ham are a bag of revels. I watched them play at Everton, and they were absolutely slaughtered. They were so poor.
“They then could have got a result at Man City then they beat Chelsea.
“I still think Arsenal will win this, because Arsenal do have joy at West Ham, and they put so much into that win over Chelsea they might not have much left in the tank.”
Arsenal have not won the Premier League title since their famous unbeaten triumph in the 2003-04 campaign.
The Gunners missed out on a place in this season’s Champions League after they finished in fifth place in the top flight last term.
Arsenal have, however, won the FA Cup in three of the last four seasons.
