Paul Pogba praises Luke Shaw for his performance in Man United's 2-1 win over Leicester City

Paul Pogba heaped praise on Luke Shaw after the left-back scored his first career goal in Manchester United’s 2-1 win over Leicester City on Friday night.
The Red Devils kicked off their Premier League campaign with three points, as Pogba also netted a penalty to help Jose Mourinho’s men emerge victorious.
Shaw’s situation at Old Trafford has been something of a source of uncertainty in recent months due to his lack of playing time under Mourinho.
However, the England international started Friday night’s Premier League opener and earned praise for his display as he got on the score-sheet in the curtain-raiser.
And Pogba, who was Manchester United’s captain, was full of praise for the defender after his performance for the Red Devils on Friday night.
Speaking in an interview with MUTV after the game, Pogba said: “Luke is someone who works very hard in training.
“People criticise him and he didn’t have a lot of chances to play last season. But every time he played, he did a great job and showed something great.
“I think he deserves respect and people to be very happy about him. Look at his statistics, look at his game.
“Look at them and don’t criticise because of his body or whatever. You saw today his personality. He did a great job and helped the team to win.”
Manchester United will be aiming to challenge for the Premier League title this season after they ended up in second place and without a trophy last term.
The Red Devils have not won the Premier League title since Sir Alex Ferguson’s retirement back in 2013, but they did win the League Cup and Europa League in Mourinho’s first campaign at the club.
