Paul Scholes: What I really think about Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger
Manchester United legend Paul Scholes has come to the defence of Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger

Paul Scholes believes Arsene Wenger should be allowed to decide his future at Arsenal.
The Gunners boss has come under increasing pressure in his role at the north London side in recent months after a tough period in the Champions League and the Premier League.
Arsenal lost 10-2 on aggregate to Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich after 5-1 defeats home and away saw the Gunners crash out of Europe’s top competition for the seventh successive season.
The north London club have also seen their top-four bid hit the buffers following three successive defeats on the road at Premier League leaders Chelsea, top-four rivals Liverpool and West Bromwich Albion.
Scholes proved to be something of a nemesis for Wenger during the early stages of his Arsenal reign as the midfielder helped Sir Alex Ferguson’s Manchester United dominate the Premier League landscape.
However, the former Manchester United midfielder is adamant that Wenger has earned the right to make a decision about his Arsenal future.
“He’s earned the right to do what he wants to do,” Scholes told football.london.
“Obviously he’s under a lot of pressure because of the way they have performed, especially in the last few weeks. It’s not been good enough for that football club.
“I’m sure as a manager he will be disappointed and he will know the standards haven’t been good enough.
“Whether he wants to stay or wants to go you have to respect his decision. He’s been great for Arsenal over the last 12 years. It’s up to him.”
