Pellegrini gives latest Man City injury update ahead of Liverpool trip
Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini confirms that Sergio Agüero will be in his squad to face Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday

Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed that Sergio Aguero will be part of the Manchester City squad that makes the trip to Liverpool ahead of this Sunday’s clash.
The 25-year-old, who has scored 15 Premier League goals this season, hasn’t featured for the Citizens since being forced off at half-time in their 2-1 second-leg loss to Barcelona in the Champions League last 16 in February.
He’s a top player, it’s very difficult for their defence to stop him and so it’s very important for us

And Citizens boss Pellegrini, whose side are four points behind Liverpool but have played two games less, admitted Aguero’s return to fitness was a big boost in the Eastlands outfit’s bid to win the Premier League.
“Sergio is OK; he worked all week with the squad normally, so he doesn’t have any problem.’ ‘It’s very important [to have Sergio back]. He’s a top player, it’s very difficult for their defence to stop him and so it’s very important for us,” Pellegrini told his pre-match media conference.
Pellegrini has also echoed Brendan Rodgers’s sentiments, playing down talk of the Anfield clash deciding the outcome of this season’s Premier League title race.
“It’s a very big game, but I don’t think it will decide the title,” Pellegrini added.
“Every game is a big game now until the end of the season. ‘Of course the team that wins this game has more of a chance to win the title, but if you think this is the finish of the Premier League, I think it is a mistake.”
