Petr Cech welcomes Chelsea legend Didier Drogba back home
Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech welcomes the return of a Blues legend after Didier Drogba pens one-year deal
Petr Cech has hailed Didier Drogba as a Chelsea legend after the veteran striker sealed a return to the west London club on Friday.
The 36-year-old signed a one-year deal with the Blues after leaving Turkish outfit Galatasaray at the end of the season, which first prompted reports of a sensational return.
Cech and Drogba won three Premier League titles, four FA Cups, two League Cups and the Champions League together during the African’s eight-year stay at Stamford Bridge.
And the Czech Republic international, whose future is in doubt following the return of Belgium number one Thibaut Courtois from loan, paid tribute to his team-mate on Twitter.
What else to say: @didierdrogba nice to see you back home legend!

Earlier, Drogba revealed that the chance to link up with manager Jose Mourinho again was a key reason behind his decision to go back to Chelsea.
“It was an easy decision – I couldn’t turn down the opportunity to work with Jose again,” Drogba told Chelsea’s website.
“Everyone knows the special relationship I have with this club and it has always felt like home to me.
“My desire to win is still the same and I look forward to the opportunity to help this team. I am excited for this next chapter of my career.”
Drogba scored 157 goals in 341 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions following his move to Stamford Bridge from Marseille in 2004.
