Callum Hudson-Odoi takes to social media to issue an update after his recent injury setback with Chelsea FC

Callum Hudson-Odoi has taken to social media to confirm that his recent surgery to repair a ruptured Achilles has been successful.
The Chelsea FC teenager suffered the injury late in the first half of the Blues’ frustrating 1-1 draw with Burnley at Stamford Bridge on Monday night.
The injury setback has ended Hudson-Odoi’s season and he will be hoping to be back in action for the early part of next term.
After being assessed by the Chelsea FC medical team, it was decided that it was best for the 18-year-old to have surgery to correct the problem.
Hudson-Odoi on Wednesday afternoon confirmed that his surgery had been successful via a post on Instagram.
He posted the picture above and wrote the caption: “Operation was Successful, Thank God always and thank you all for your messages and support, the return begins now!!!❤️❤️🙏🏾”
The injury setback came just as Hudson-Odoi was beginning to hold down a more regular spot in the first team at Stamford Bridge under Maurizio Sarri.
The Blues will return to Premier League action on Sunday with a crunch clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford as they bid to try and finish in the top four this season.
