Photos: Ozil and Arsenal stars wish Oxlade-Chamberlain happy birthday

The Arsenal squad have been spreading the love for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on social media after the midfielder turned 21 on Friday.

Mesut Ozil, Theo Walcott, Kieran Gibbs and Aaron Ramsey were among the players to take to Twitter to wish the England international many happy returns.

Ozil posted a picture of the duo together along with the message “Happy birthday @Alex_OxChambo! #stayhealthy #TheOx #Arsenal”, while Walcott wrote: “Happy 21st Birthday to my brother from another mother @Alex_OxChambo.”

Midfielder Ramsey added: “Happy birthday chambo enjoy!!” along with the Instagram photo below.

There was also time for a bit of banter from Jack Wilshere and Tomas Rosicky, who both posted pictures of Kieran Gibbs along with their birthday messages in reference to the case of mistaken identity in Arsenal’s loss to Chelsea last season, when the left-back was wrongly sent off for handball instead of Oxlade-Chamberlain by referee Andre Marriner.

Wilshere posted the picture of Gibbs below and wrote: “Happy birthday to my boy @alexoxchamberlain”, while Rosicky used the same snap and posted: “HBD @alexoxchamberlain Lo!”

Arsenal kick off their Premier League campaign at home to managerless Crystal Palace on Saturday.
