QPR’s Ryan Nelsen: Harry Redknapp doesn’t have a magic wand
QPR's Ryan Nelsen warns the Hoops that Harry Redknapp doesn't have "a magic wand" to reverse the club's fortunes

Ryan Nelsen has warned Queens Park Rangers that Harry Redknapp does not have “a magic wand” and it will take time to reverse the club’s ailing fortunes.
QPR remain winless in a record 16 Premier League games, with Mark Hughes’ replacement unable to inspire the Hoops to a victory against Sunderland, Aston Villa or Wigan Athletic since taking charge at Loftus Road.
The west London club are eight points adrift of 17th-place Wigan Athletic with 22 games remaining, but Nelsen is taking heart from their three-game unbeaten run under Redknapp.
“When a new manager comes in it’s not like they have a magic wand or something just changes so it’s going to take time,” Nelsen told QPR’s website.
“But I think we’ve been a lot better.
“We haven’t lost, we’ve had two awkward away games and got points out of them so we have to take the positives.
“We’re on a three-game unbeaten run so hopefully the win will come soon.”
QPR face Fulham in a west London derby at Loftus Road on Saturday, and Nelsen believes victory over their neighbours could inspire the Hoops to go on a winning run.
“We feel if we can get one win we can get two and we’ll build from that,” he added.
“I’ve been in teams before where we’ve been down there but with this team I’m confident if we can get that first win, we’ll get another and we’ll get going.”
