QPR transfers: Harry Redknapp plots Etienne Capoue deal if Hoops stay up
QPR transfers: Harry Redknapp says he will make a renewed bid to sign Toulouse star Etienne Capoue if the Hoops beat relegation

Harry Redknapp will try to sign Toulouse midfielder Etienne Capoue in the summer if Queens Park Rangers manage to avoid relegation to the Championship.
The 66-year-old revealed he tried to sign the France international during the January transfer window but Toulouse refused to sell.
Capoue has been linked with a move to Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur in the past but Redknapp would like to sign the 24-year-old if the Hoops maintain their top-flight status.
“I tried to sign Capoue in January,” said Redknapp. “I was looking for a player to control the game. It’s hard at the last minute to attract players.
“If we maintain our Premier League status then he would be a good option.”
QPR were left rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table and seven points from safety after a 3-2 loss to 17th-placed Aston Villa on Saturday.
But Redknapp vowed that the west London side would keep fighting in their bid to stave off the threat of relegation, eyeing four or five victories to secure safety.
“We need to win four or five games. It is not impossible. While there is hope, you keep believing,” he said.
“It is hard with the points situation, but we cannot be playing any better. We are playing very well, that is all we can do.
“With eight games to go, we need to keep trying to win the games. If we can do that, we can still do it.”
