QPR transfers: Júlio Cesar keen to stay in the Premier League
QPR transfers: Júlio Cesar expresses his desire to stay in the Premier League with the Hoops on the brink of relegation

Júlio Cesar has expressed his desire to stay in the Premier League next season, with Queens Park Rangers on the brink of relegation to England’s second tier.
The Brazil international was powerless to prevent Wigan Athletic’s Shaun Maloney scoring a 94th-minute free-kick which cancelled out Loic Remy’s opener and denied the Hoops a vital three points on Sunday.
The west London side, who are in 19th position, are now eight points from safety, prompting talk of a summer clear-out at Loftus Road, with Championship football looking increasingly likely.
Cesar is one of the big earners who has been linked with a move away from the Hoops at the end of the season, but the goalkeeper favours staying in the Premier League ahead of a return to Serie A.
“I’m enamoured by Italy, but England has really won me over. I like everything here – the stadiums and the people,” he told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
“The supporters are incredible, if a player has the opportunity to play in the Premier League he must go, it is an exciting experience.”
Cesar has made 25 appearances for QPR after moving to the west London outfit from Inter Milan last summer.
