QPR transfers: LA Galaxy striker Robbie Keane reveals there has been interest from the Premier League ahead of January

Robbie Keane has revealed there are a number of Premier League clubs interested in signing the Republic of Ireland international on a short-term loan in January.
The 32-year-old scored in LA Galaxy’s 3-1 victory in the MLS Cup final last month, capping an impressive campaign which saw the veteran score 22 goals in 34 games.
Queens Park Rangers have been linked with a move for the Ireland captain as Harry Redknapp looks to add more firepower to his struggling squad.
Keane admitted a temporary switch to a top-flight outfit is a possibility but only if the former Tottenham striker is fully fit after a long season stateside.
“I am going to rest up and get ready for next season with the Galaxy, I haven’t even thought about taking up with any other teams, I have a few little niggles that I have to sort out before I even contemplate making any decisions,” Keane told RTE.
“There has been a lot of speculation and a few clubs are interested but it wouldn’t be right for me to go anywhere if I wasn’t 100 per cent fit and ready.
“I don’t have any major problems, just an Achilles injury, but if that isn’t right, I won’t be going anywhere.”
