Chelsea returned to winning ways at Stamford Bridge after goals from Juan Mata and Frank Lampard helped the Blues to a 2-1 victory over Arsenal.
The Gunners were much-improved in the second half, and Theo Walcott halved the deficit in the 58th minute but Arsene Wenger’s side were unable to conjure up a late equaliser.
