Sergio Ramos hits back at Liverpool FC boss Jurgen Klopp after the German's criticism of the defender

Sergio Ramos has hit back at Liverpool FC manager Jurgen Klopp after the German’s criticism of the Real Madrid defender’s performance in the Champions League final.
Klopp was critical of Ramos for his display in the Champions League showpiece back in May after the challenge on Mohamed Salah that injured his shoulder and forced the Egypt international off.
Salah ended up having to be substituted before half-time, as Real Madrid went on to win the final 3-1 back at the end of May.
Klopp described Ramos’ performance in the showpiece in Kiev as “brutal” but the Spanish defender has now fired back at the Liverpool FC manager.
Speaking in an interview quoted by BBC Sport, Ramos said: “I have no intention of hurting a player deliberately.
“He will be wanting to explain not winning the final, but it’s not the first that he has lost.”
Meanwhile, Liverpool FC are currently preparing for their trip to Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Monday as they look to try and make it two wins from their opening two games.
The Reds were 4-0 winners over West Ham United at Anfield in their Premier League opener on Sunday as they got their top-flight campaign off to a solid start in front of their home fans.
The Merseyside outfit will be aiming to challenge for the title this season after they finished in fourth place and without a trophy last term.
