Luis Suárez was at the centre of yet another controversy after the striker appeared to bite Branislav Ivanovic as Liverpool came from behind to rescue a point against Chelsea at Anfield.

Daniel Sturridge cancelled out Oscar’s first-half effort before Eden Hazard scored from the spot to put the Blues back into the lead, but Suárez scored a leveller in the seventh minute of stoppage time.

The Uruguay international was fortunate to escape a red card after appearing to bite Ivanovic as the pair clashed in the second half.

Here is a selection of the best tweets from the professionals, past and present, to a dramatic match at Anfield on Sunday.

Blackpool striker Nathan Eccleston ‏(@NathanEccleston) is grateful to Rafael Benítez for giving him a chance at Liverpool: “Now to watch the Reds return of Rafa have to respect for all he did at Lfc and I’m personally grateful as he give me my debut! #Topman”
