Robbie Savage makes bold claim about Tottenham star
Robbie Savage delivers his verdict on Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane
Robbie Savage says Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has been better than Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero in the Premier League this season.
The 22-year-old forward has scored 25 times in 37 Premier League appearances for north London side this season, soaring past his tally for 2014/15 campaign.
Aguero, meanwhile, has netted 24 goals in 29 English top-flight games for the Citizens in an injury-hit campaign for the Argentina international.
Kane is leading the race to finish as the Premier League’s top goal-scorer ahead of their final game of the season against Newcastle United at St James’s Park on Sunday afternoon.
Former Leicester City and Manchester United midfielder Savage explained why he beleives Kane has been a better striker than Aguero in the Premier League this term.
“He is fantastic. He has gone on another level. Aguero is a better player, but this season, Kane has been better than Aguero,” Savage said at Facebook Football Awards.
Kane was unable to inspire Tottenham to Premier League title glory despite the England man netting in a 2-2 draw with Chelsea earlier this month, which handed the trophy to Leicester City.
Spurs will be bidding to end a two-game winless run against Newcastle this weekend.
