Rob Green insists it is not all “doom and gloom” at Queens Park Rangers but admitted Harry Redknapp’s men must starting winning games.

The Hoops were seconds from a vital three points at Loftus Road on Sunday before Shaun Maloney’s free-kick rescued a 1-1 draw for 18th-placed Wigan Athletic.

Redknapp’s side are now seven points from safety with six games remaining, and the Hoops must travel to top-four chasing Everton on Saturday.

But Green, who moved to QPR from West Ham United last summer, is adamant the west London side have not given up in the battle to beat the drop.

“We don’t have a nightmare run-in,” Green told the Fulham Chronicle.

“We don’t have to go to Old Trafford or the Etihad, we’re playing against teams we’re capable of getting results against.

“It’s not all doom and gloom, but it’s imperative we pull out some results now. The boys won against Liverpool and Arsenal last season, so there’s no reason we can’t do it again.

“We know it’s going to be tough, but we’ve got to keep on going.”
