Roberto Mancini to make goalkeeper decision this week

Roberto Mancini says he will make a decision over who will be Manchester City’s number one goalkeeper within the next week.
The highly-rated Joe Hart, who last season enjoyed a successful loan spell at Birmingham City, has been linked with another temporary move away from Eastlands for 2010-11.
But City boss Mancini remains adamant that both Hart and last season’s No1 Shay Given will remain in Manchester and battle it out for the number one spot.
“In this moment we have two good goalkeepers and one will play and one will stay on the bench,” Mancini told the Daily Telegraph.
“We play many games, a lot of games, in one year – three games every week – so we could play both goalkeepers.
Given’s speedy recovery from a shoulder injury means the Irishman will not miss the start of the season as first feared, leaving Mancini to decide on who will be his number one within the next week.
“I have an idea who will play in goal but I have one week more to decide,” he added.
“It is important if there’s an injury to a goalkeeper. If we don’t have another good one, then that will be a problem.”
