Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers confirms Glen Johnson is back in his squad for the clash against Swansea City on Saturday

Brendan Rodgers has confirmed that Glen Johnson is back in the Liverpool squad ahead of their clash against Swansea City at Anfield on Saturday.
The 29-year-old right-back had been given an indefinite break from training to allow the England international to recover from a number of niggling injuries which have been hampering his form.

And Liverpool manager Rodgers revealed that Johnson, who moved to the Reds in a £17.5m deal from Portsmouth in 2009, is feeling in great shape ahead of a potential return to action against the Swans.
“Glen has been back training and according to him, he’s felt as good as he has done for long time which is great,” Rodgers told his pre-match media conference.
“He has looked very good in training and he’ll come into the squad.”
Rodgers added that Lucas Leiva is training well following a knee injury but won’t return to the match day squad this weekend.
“Lucas Leiva has recovered very well but he’s not in the squad,” Rodgers added.
The Reds manager confirmed that Spanish left-back Jose Enrique has travelled to the United States in a bid to solve his ongoing knee problems.
“Jose Enrique has been out in America. We’re looking to try and put an end to his injuries that he has had this season.
“We sent him there to get some specialist opinion on that.”
On Sakho, Rodgers concluded: “Sakho is still a week or so away. He’s back on the field and working well.”
