Brendan Rodgers says Liverpool's medical team will assess Daniel Sturridge's hamstring injury in the coming days

Liverpool will assess the extent of Daniel Sturridge’s hamstring injury in the coming days after the striker was forced off in the second half of Sunday’s win over Manchester City.
The 24-year-old England international was replaced by Joe Allen in the 66th minute during the 3-2 victory at Anfield as the Reds took a giant stride towards winning the Premier League title.

And Rodgers confirmed that the forward will be evaluated by the Reds’ medical team in the next few days ahead of next Saturday’s trip to Norwich.
“We’ll see [how he is] over the next couple of days,” said Rodgers.
“He felt a wee bit of tightness in his hamstring, so we’ll see how that is in the next couple of days.”
Goals from Raheem Sterling, Martin Skrtel and Philippe Coutinho sealed victory for the Reds at Anfield.
And Rodgers, whose side are now seven points clear of City after Sunday’s win, went on to praise his side for dealing with the pressure of being top of the table.
“The expectation on this football club is a challenge every day. Our objective is to stay where we are,” he added.
“We have been put under pressure in very big game but you can see from the quality of our football that we are coping with it.”
