Pundit claims Chelsea, Man United have made bids to sign 24-year-old striker
Paul Mariner claims that Everton have told him that Chelsea and Manchester United have both submitted bids for Romelu Lukaku this summer

Chelsea and Manchester United have both made offers to sign Romelu Lukaku in the summer transfer window, according to Paul Mariner.
The Belgium international’s future has been a source of relentless speculation in the summer transfer window after the centre-forward made clear his intention to leave the Merseyside outfit.
Premier League champions Chelsea are thought to be frontrunners to re-sign Lukaku as Antonio Conte looks to find a striker capable of replacing Diego Costa in his starting line-up next term.
The Blues sold Lukaku to Everton in a £29m deal back in the 2014 summer transfer window and the Belgian star has gone on to establish himself as one of the Premier League’s top goal-scorers.
Manchester United are also thought to be on the lookout for a new striker after Zlatan Ibrahimovic was released by the Red Devils last month and amid continued uncertainty surrounding Wayne Rooney’s future.
Former Arsenal star Mariner has revealed that he has spoken to Everton officials who have confirmed that both Chelsea and Manchester United have made offers to sign Lukaku.
“My mate is now the sporting director at Everton,” Mariner told ESPN FC.
“I had a good chat with him and they’re going to spend a lot of money this summer.
“They feel as if it’s time they broke into that top four, it’s a big ask but that’s what Ronald Koeman and the staff want to do.
“They’ve had bids for Lukaku, mainly from Manchester United and Chelsea.
“It’s a lot of money, I personally wouldn’t be paying that sort of money.
“They think they can hold out for it but they’ve already added to the squad.
“It’s going to be very, very interesting to see if they improve and I think they will improve.”
