Ross Barkley raves about ‘magical’ Chelsea FC star
The England star heaps praise on Chelsea FC number 10 Eden Hazard
Ross Barkley has raved about Chelsea FC’s “magical” number 10 Eden Hazard.
The Belgium international has been in fine form in the Premier League campaign to help Chelsea FC challenge for a top-four finish this season.
Hazard scored seven goals in his opening eight games in the Premier League under new Chelsea FC manager Maurizio Sarri to refind his best form.
The 27-year-old struggled with an injury problem that he sustained in a 2-2 draw with Chelsea FC at Stamford Bridge back in November.
Hazard netted eight times and made nine assists in Chelsea FC’s opening 17 games after a man of the match performance in a 2-1 win at Brighton.
However, the Belgian was unable to prevent the Blues from suffering a 1-0 loss to Leicester at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Barkley and Hazard have created a promising understanding when the duo have been on the pitch together, notably during a 2-0 victory at Southampton in October.
The England playmaker spoke in glowing terms about playing alongside one of the Premier League’s most talented stars since his move from Everton in January.
“The way we were playing [against Brighton earlier this month], you could see we had the belief that a goal was going to come,” Barkley told Sky Sports.
“When Eden got that goal, he can produce magic moments like that. Credit to him and the team who got stuck in.
“He’s playing really well. He’s up there with the best in the world. He can produce goals like that out of nothing and to play with a player like that is fantastic.
“He’s relaxed, but once he’s on the training pitch he’s magical. He plays with enjoyment. He scores goals and creates goals. He’s laid-back, but on game day he’s ready to make things happen.”
Barkley moved to Chelsea FC from his boyhood club Everton in the January transfer window after coming through the system at the Merseyside outfit.
Chelsea FC finished in fifth spot in the Premier League table to miss out on a Champions League spot under Antonio Conte, resulting in Europa League football for the current campaign.
