Ryan Giggs delivers verdict on new Man United signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Manchester United will score more goals with Zlatan Ibrahimovic up front, according to Ryan Giggs

Ryan Giggs has backed Zlatan Ibrahimovic to improve Manchester United’s goal record next season.
The Sweden international was unveiled as United’s second summer signing on Friday afternoon after the 34-year-old centre-forward completed a medical at the club’s Carrington training ground.
Ibrahimovic arrives just weeks after new United manager Jose Mourinho signed 22-year-old Ivory Coast international Eric Bailly in a big-money deal from La Liga side Villarreal.
Only £36m summer signing Anthony Martial hit double figures in the Premier League for the Red Devils last season after a return of 11 goals in his first campaign in the English top flight.
Ibrahimovic, on the other hand, scored a staggering 38 times in 31 Ligue 1 games for French champions Paris Saint-Germain en route to a fourth successive top-flight crown.
And Giggs, who ended his 21-year association with United earlier this week, delivered his thoughts on the new signing.
“I think it’s a terrific signing. I mean United, we were short of goals last year and he’s a proven goalscorer,” Giggs said during ITV’s Euro 2016 coverage.
“Okay, he’s going into the Premier League from the French league which is weaker, but he’s someone who, as a player, you see him walk into the dressing room and you see a winner, you see a character and you’re seeing a bit of class.
“As a teammate it lifts you. These are the signings that will lift the Manchester United team and that’s what you want.”
Ibrahimovic announced his retirement from international football following Sweden’s premature European championship exit earlier this month.
