It has been a remarkable first season so far for Antonio Conte following his appointment at Chelsea last summer.
The Blues are currently flying high at the top of the Premier League table, having built a 10-point lead over their closest rivals Tottenham heading into this weekend’s round of fixtures.
Chelsea’s remarkable upturn in form has been in stark contrast to their struggles last season, when they ended up 10th in the table and without a trophy following the sacking of Jose Mourinho in December 2015.
With the west London club in such good form, it may seem odd to look ahead to the summer transfer window and pick out some of the players Chelsea should be targeting.
However, Chelsea boss Conte will be well aware that he will need to bolster his squad ahead of next season, especially with a return to the Champions League on the cards and the extra fixtures that competition will bring.
