Southampton 2 Yeovil 0: Captain Kelvin Davis insists that the Saints' team spirit is as good as ever after FA Cup win
Kelvin Davis insisted that Southampton’s team spirit is “as good as ever” after helping the Saints reach the fifth round of the FA Cup with victory over Yeovil.
Sam Gallagher, 18, scored his first senior goal for the Saints in the 70th minute after Guly Do Prado converted a first-half penalty at St Mary’s.

And captain Davis said that Mauricio Pochettino’s men are hoping to move on following the altercation involving team-mates Dani Osvaldo and Jose Fonte at the club’s training ground last week.
“What has happened has happened,” said Davis. “As a team, as a squad, as a club, we are looking forward and we are very much together.
“We showed that again today and it is something we just want to move on from. It is something we want to move on and concentrate on what happens out there.
“Our dressing room is as solid as it has ever been and it will continue to be so.”
Meanwhile, Yeovil boss Gary Johnson declared that he was “proud” of his side’s overall display.
“We were part of a good football match,” said Johnson. “We played our game and tactics and kept them down to only a few chances and created a few ourselves, so I was very proud of our team in the first half.
“We then lost a bit of confidence and faith in our game and Southampton took over and started working our keeper more.”
