Despite Arsenal’s slump in form in the second half of the Premier League season, Mesut Ozil has clearly been the Gunners’ standout performer this term, according to the numbers.

Ozil’s impressive form was one of the driving forces behind Arsenal’s Premier League title challenge earlier in the campaign as the north London side topped the table during the festive period.

The Germany playmaker’s form dropped off along with many of his team-mates’ after the turn of the year but Ozil is still Arsenal’s standout performer by some distance.

The World Cup winner has notched up 18 assists and scored six goals in 34 Premier League games for the north London club.

He has also created 141 chances for his team-mates, with a pass completion rate of 87 per cent.

Ozil has also notched up 123 key passes this term, according to the stats from Oulala.
