Robbie Fowler has tipped Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard to inspire the Reds to the Premier League title.
Brendan Rodgers’s side are a point behind leaders Chelsea after an edgy 2-1 victory over Sunderland on Wednesday night.
He’ll know he can lead them, inspire them. Maybe in two or three games, he can win the title for Liverpool

Liverpool welcome fourth-place chasing Tottenham Hotspur to Anfield on Sunday as they bid to keep pace with Chelsea and Manchester City.
And former Reds striker Fowler reckons Gerrard can emulate his influential performances of the past and lead his team-mates to the Premier League crown.
“In the past, Stevie has inspired Liverpool in massive games like the Champions League Final,” Fowler told the Mirror.
“But you can’t lift a team singled handedly over a whole season.
“Now though, it isn’t a whole season – they are just a few games away and in with a truly fantastic chance. So he’ll know they can do it, especially with the firepower they’ve got. And he’ll know he can lead them, inspire them. Maybe in two or three games, he can win the title for Liverpool.”
Gerrard scored his 11th Premier League goal of the season in a 2-1 win against the Black Cats.
