Stoke 0 Man United 2: David Moyes insists it's business as usual after the Red Devils beat the Potters to reach League Cup last four
David Moyes insisted it was “business as usual” after Manchester United reached the Capital One Cup semi-final courtesy of a comfortable win against Stoke City.
After a weather-interrupted first half, Red Devils midfielder Ashley Young made the breakthrough at the Britannia Stadium with a ferocious 62nd-minute strike past Thomas Sørensen.

Stoke failed to test United goalkeeper David De Gea, and the visitors set up a semi-final clash against Sunderland when Patrice Evra curled a rare right-footed effort into the Stoke net.
“Manchester United are used to winning trophies so it’s no surprise to them. It’s business as usual,” Moyes told Sky Sports.
“We’re all delighted to be through tonight.”
He added: “I’m glad we’re through.
“It will be a tough semi-final against Sunderland. Sunderland played well to beat Chelsea so anything can happen but we are really pleased to be in the last four.”
Referee Mark Clattenburg was forced to delay the League Cup tie for 10 minutes due to heavy hail, and Moyes admitted it was the worst conditions that he’s experienced during his professional career.
“The conditions were a leveller and it was really difficult to play in tonight,” added Moyes.
“It’s some of the worst conditions I’ve played or managed in. But once we got the first goal we felt confident.”
