Paul Merson looks ahead to Tottenham's trip to Swansea in the FA Cup quarter-finals
Paul Merson is tipping Tottenham Hotspur to book their place in the semi-finals of the FA Cup by beating Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The two Premier League sides are preparing to do battle as they bid to book their places in the last four of the famous competition.
Tottenham have had to come to terms with the disappointment of being knocked out of the Champions League by Juventus last week.
Spurs bounced back to winning ways in the Premier League last Sunday when they sealed a 4-1 win over Bournemouth to keep themselves in the race for a top four finish in the Premier League.
And Arsenal legend Merson doesn’t expect the north London side to have any problems against the Swans when they take on the South Wales side this weekend.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Gunners legend Merson said: “I don’t see how Swansea win this game – their priority is staying in the Premier League.
“They have bigger fish to fry with their survival bid so I expect them to make changes, something that will play into Spurs’ hands.”
Tottenham will be aiming to at least finish in the top four this season as they look to bring Champions League football to their brand new stadium for next term.
Spurs finished as runners-up to Chelsea FC in the Premier League table after being the west London club’s closest challengers.
