Mark Lawrenson states his prediction for Swansea v Tottenham

Mark Lawrenson is tipping Tottenham Hotspur to claim a thumping 3-0 win over Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium in the Premier League on Tuesday night.
The Lilywhites head into the game looking to keep their top-four bid on track as Mauricio Pochettino looks to deliver Champions League football for the north London side once again.
Spurs have been in decent form in recent weeks and have won four of their last five Premier League games to leave them very much in the hunt for Champions League qualification.
Pochettino will be hoping to deliver Champions League football for Tottenham’s first season back at the newly-developed White Hart Lane from next term.
And former Liverpool FC star Lawrenson is fully expecting to see Tottenham claim a comfortable win over the South Wales side on Tuesday night.
Writing in his column for BBC Sport, Lawrenson said: “What a result for Swansea in Carlos Carvalhal’s first game in charge.
“I saw them at Anfield on Boxing Day and they were abysmal in a 5-0 defeat, but the new manager brought them new energy and three much-needed points as they fought back to win at Watford last time out.
“That will lift them, but it is still the same set of players who have left them bottom. They are deep in a dogfight.
“Spurs striker Harry Kane is suffering with a cold, but I’m sure he will shrug that off as he attempts to become the first player in 71 years to score hat-tricks in three successive English league games.”
Tottenham will then switch their attentions towards FA Cup affairs and their third-round clash against AFC Wimbledon on Sunday afternoon.
Spurs finished in second place in the Premier League table as they ended up being Chelsea’s closest challengers for the title.
However, a top-four finish looks like their most realistic target for this season.
