Theo Walcott has refused to rule out a move to Major League Soccer in the future.

The Arsenal striker is currently in California with Arsene Wenger’s squad ahead of their pre-season clash against an all-star Major League Soccer XI in San Jose on Thursday night.

The England international celebrated his tenth anniversary as an Arsenal player in January as the Gunners lost 1-0 to Chelsea in north London after moving to The Emirates from Southampton in 2006.

Walcott was omitted from Roy Hodgson’s England squad for Euro 2016 after the 27-year-old struggled to tie down a regular starting spot under Arsene Wenger last term.

The former Saints youth product has spent the summer working with personal trainer Bradley Simmonds in an attempt to get in peak fitness ahead of the 2016/17 Premier League campaign.

Speaking after Arsenal’s training session in San Jose on Wednesday afternoon, Walcott discussed the prospect of a move Stateside in the future ahead of the north London side’s pre-season friendly on Thursday night.

“It is something you can never rule out. My future is here now. We’ll see where it takes me in the future,” Walcott told the media after Arsenal’s training session on Wednesday.
