There’s more to come from Aaron Ramsey, declares Arsene Wenger
Arsene Wenger is convinced that Arsenal are yet to see the best of midfielder Aaron Ramsey
Arsene Wenger is convinced that Arsenal are yet to see the best of Aaron Ramsey.
The Wales international is due to return to the Gunners squad for Sunday’s trip to Everton after being sidelined with a thigh injury since Boxing Day.
I expect him to improve on the defensive side of his game, on the technical side of his game
Ramsey, 23, was one of Arsenal’s standout performers in the first half of the season, scoring 13 goals in 27 games.
And Wenger believes that it won’t be long until the Gunners see the best from the midfielder.
“You are always worried, but for him no, because he’s young and he did it in a consistent way,” said Wenger.
“In training you see him in situations where he can score, and he repeats what he did before.
“I expect him to improve on the defensive side of his game, on the technical side of his game – there is room for improvement. He has good vision, a good long ball, I think there is a lot more to come from him.
“Let’s not forget that he is where he is, and he lost over a year [previously].”
