Titi Camara attempts to reassure Liverpool fans over Luis Suarez exit
Former Liverpool striker Titi Camara says the Reds will survive without Luis Suárez as they did when he left in 2000
Titi Camara has attempted to reassure Liverpool supporters over the impending departure of Luis Suarez by pointing out the Reds were able to replace the former Guinea striker.
The Uruguay international is widely expected to complete a £75m move to Barcelona in the coming days, bringing to an end his three-and-a-half year spell at the Merseyside club.
Camara, 41, scored a modest nine goals in 33 Premier League appearances during the 1999-00 season, netting a memorable winner in a 1-0 victory over Arsenal at Highbury.
However, the former Marseille man lasted just one season at Anfield before joining West Ham United, failing to net in 14 appearances for the east London side in all competitions.
And in what should prove a moment of light relief for Liverpool supporters, Camara claimed that the Reds would survive without Suarez like the 18-time English champions did with the irreplaceable Guinean.

For most Liverpool supporters, Camara will be best-remembered for playing the day after his father’s death and scoring the winning goal against Hammers, earning him cult status at Anfield.
