Tom Cleverley: It felt like a classic Man United away display
Manchester United midfielder Tom Cleverley says the Red Devils never looked like conceding against Arsenal

Tom Cleverly believes Manchester United produced a “classic Red Devils away performance” after securing a goalless draw at Arsenal.
The Gunners failed to carve open the United defence as Olivier Giroud came close with a header, whilst Santi Cazorla was forced to resort to a series of long-range attempts.

At the other end, United duo Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie combined on the counter-attack with the Netherlands international seeing his header pushed onto the crossbar by Wojciech Szczesny.
“I think we take confidence from the fact that we didn’t really looked like conceding. We were solid and it felt like a classic Manchester United away performance where we hit teams on the counter-attack,” Cleverley told United’s website.
“Unfortunately the goal just didn’t come for us. They probably had more of the ball but we had the best chance of the game, so I’d say it was a fair result.”
Cleverley believes United will benefit from their warm-weather training in Dubai after the Red Devils flew out from London following the stalemate at The Emirates.
“We’ll go away now and have a good five days of warm-weather training which will bring us together and hopefully do us good for the run-in,” Cleverley added.
“Warm-weather training is good for fitness as well as team bonding and the team spirit you get from having all the lads together. We did it last year and it really helped us – hopefully it’ll have the same effect this time.”
