Tomas Rosicky believes Arsene Wenger was right to describe their 6-0 rout at Chelsea as a “nightmare”.

The Gunners were blown away by their Premier League title rivals at Stamford Bridge as their hopes of winning the top-flight crown suffered a severe blow.

Arsenal had already suffered heavy defeats in away games at Liverpool and Manchester City this season, with Wenger’s tactics coming under scrutiny.

Rosicky, who signed a new Arsenal deal earlier this month, is confident that the Gunners can bounce back against Swansea on Tuesday despite the manner of the defeat.

“The boss is absolutely right with what he is saying,” Rosicky told Arsenal’s website.

“I think in the first half the way we played was like a suicide, and the first two goals we conceded were almost like own goals.

“Every time we lost the ball in the middle of the park there was a quick counter and a goal. We were the ones who had the first chance so maybe it could have been different but the two mistakes for the first two goals – in games like that everyone will punish you.

“It’s not the first some we’ve done it this year so that’s the disappointing part. But I’m very confident that we can turn it around again and we have two big games at home now.”
