Mark Lawrenson states his prediction for Tottenham v Aston Villa
BBC Sport pundit Mark Lawrenson is backing Tottenham to beat Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon

Mark Lawrenson is backing Tottenham Hotspur to ease to a 2-0 victory over Aston Villa in their Premier League opener on Saturday afternoon.
Spurs will be hoping to challenge Manchester City and Liverpool FC in the Premier League title race this season.
The north London side looked to be title contenders up until the turn of the year when their form wavered.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side still managed to secure a top-four finish to continue their participation in the Champions League.
Spurs lost 2-0 to domestic rivals Liverpool FC in the Champions League final in Madrid last term.
Pochettino has added four new players to his squad during the summer transfer window.
Spurs spent a club record £54m on France international Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon before Jack Clarke arrived from Leeds United.
Tottenham have also signed Fulham teenager Ryan Sessegnon following months of speculation.
The north London side added Giovani lo Celso to their squad on a season-long loan from Real Betis.
Aston Villa signed 12 new players this summer to bolster their team after their return to the top flight.
But former Liverpool FC defender Lawrenson is backing Tottenham to ease to a 2-0 victory over the promoted side at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
“Aston Villa’s summer transfer signings have made a lot of sense, and they have also got good momentum after the way they came up from the Championship – although I cannot see it helping them too much on Saturday,” Lawrenson told BBC Sport.
“I think Spurs will be far too strong for them, but Villa still have the best chance of staying up of any of the promoted teams.”
Tottenham have finished in the top four in four consecutive seasons.
