Thierry Henry: This is what I admire about Tottenham star
Thierry Henry opens up about Harry Kane and his form for Tottenham in recent seasons
Thierry Henry has described Harry Kane as an “all-round player” but now says it is time for the Tottenham Hotspur striker to prove himself in the Champions League.
The Spurs forward has been in superb form for the north London side in recent seasons and ended up with the Premier League golden boot this term after scoring 29 goals and making seven assists in the top flight.
There is no doubt that Kane has proved himself as one of the Premier League’s top forwards in recent seasons.
However, although Arsenal legend Henry is a huge admirer of the England international, he would like to see Kane prove himself as being capable of delivering on multiple stages.
Speaking on Sky Sports News HQ on Monday, Henry said: “He has more qualities than only scoring goals. I admire that about him. He is an all-round player.
“A people were asking a lot of questions about him. Now we have all passed that. It’s done and dusted. He is Mr Tottenham.
“To be world class, you have to do it in the Champions League and in the national team, he hasn’t done it yet. I’m sure he is thinking about that.”
Kane will have the chance to try and prove himself in Europe’s elite club competition next season after Spurs finished second to secure Champions League qualification.
